The browser version is just a sneak peek for those who want to see what it looks like before downloading.

Overview and Notes

I gave feedback to the people assigned to me, and I worked on Project C, implementing both things that I planned, and suggestions from the feedback I received.

Here is an overview of the main points suggested in feedback:

  • parts of text not visible in browser when not full-screen (I will NOT fix this, because the game is intended to be downloaded, and the browser version is just a sneak peek)
  • adjust mouse sensitivity (I added a slider for both FOV and mouse sensitivity that can be accessed by pausing the game using Escape)
  • enable Windows download (finished)
  • info text appears for a longer time (finished)
  • the numbers in popup text are rounded to one decimal place (finished)
  • increase field of view (added, as discussed above)
  • add music and sound effects (finished: both background music and short sounds when something is eaten)
  • more interesting platforms (finished)
  • consider 3rd person view (will NOT implement this, the game is supposed to be 1st person)
  • consider changing floor or background color (added black bathroom tiles)
  • ground has wrong collider (fixed)
  • add more neon (finished)

Here is a list of things I wanted to implement (not feedback):

  • add camera from above showing you the layout of the level on bottom left (finished)
  • add shaders that distort the screen (finished, added glitch shader and wave shader)
  • add interesting 3D models that create the liminal/backrooms aesthetic
  • add interesting sound effects (inhaling and exhaling when collecting crystal fruit)
